Emma and Steve’s Wedding Video in Worcestershire – Granary Hotel

Last weekend I was the wedding videographer for Emma & Steve at Holy Trinity Church Amblecote and The Granary Hotel, Kidderminster. Emma was at her nan’s house in the morning having her hair and make-up done and coverage began there before I headed off to the church. Both she and Steve felt quite nervous but the sun was shining and they had picked a great day for a wedding. Emma’s arrival was followed by a heartfelt ceremony and some photos were taken in the grounds of the church before we all headed off. The wedding reception was at the Granary Hotel, Worcestershire where I had last been to film the wedding of Melanie and Mark last year. The colour scheme for the day was a vibrant purple and following the speeches a disco played throughout the night. Emma and Steve are now on honeymoon so I will see them when they return.

Laura and Tom’s Wedding Video in Staffordshire – Moat House Acton Trussell

This month I was the wedding videographer for Laura and Tom at St Michael’s Church Penkridge and the Moat House, Acton Trussell. The booking came as a direct result of a recommendation from Anita and Jon, whose wedding I filmed last year so I thank them very much for that.
Both Laura and Tom were getting ready at the Moat House so I was able to film them both before leaving for the church. Both were relaxed and looking forward to the day and the big surprise for Laura was that Tom had bought her a piano – she was overjoyed. It was a very warm day and a coach was laid on for the guests to arrive at the church. Before long Laura arrived and the ceremony began. It was a church I had not filmed at before but it easily accommodated the 100-plus guests who were there and a few photographs were taken outside by Boo Photography of Wolverhampton. We all left for the Moat House and the photographs continued whilst a string quartet played. Following the wedding breakfast there were some great speeches and a disco played throughout the evening. A projector playing hundreds of photographs of Laura and Tom was set up and the full dance floor enjoyed looking at those whilst they let their hair down. Laura and Tom rehearsed a waltz for their first dance and continued to dance throughout the night. They are now on honeymoon so I will catch up with them when they return to give them their weding DVDs. All the best to Laura and Tom.

Angela & Max’s Wedding Video in Worcestershire – Grafton Manor

Last month saw a quick return for me to the wonderful Grafton Manor in Bromsgrove where I was the wedding videographer for Angela and Max. Having been there just a few weeks before for the wedding of Helen and Mark it was great to be back filming in such spectacular surroundings. The day began with me filming Max getting ready at his parents’ house before I went to record Angela having her hair and make-up done at home. I went on ahead to Grafton Manor and before long they both arrived separately. The final preparations took place before they entered the library for their civil ceremony. Angela looked very glamorous and couldn’t stop smiling all day. After the civil ceremony the blessing took place in the chapel then we all enjoyed the afternoon sunshine in the wonderful grounds. A few drops of rain arrived but it didn’t affect any of the afternoon and there was plenty of time to capture some lovely shots. Some great speeches followed the meal and Max had the guests in stitches before his brother (the best man) showed some funny childhood pictures of him on a projector which also got some great laughs. Angela and Max hired an Irish band for the evening and they got everyone involved by teaching some traditional dances. It was a great spectacle as people tried to master the dance in 10 minutes and made for a great social evening. I wish Angela and Max all the very best and it was a pleasure to record your day.

Esther and Oliver’s Wedding Video in the West Midlands – All Saint’s Church Streetly

Last month I was the wedding videographer for Esther and Oliver at All Saints Church Streetly and Caerdaniel Stud, Barr Beacon. Esther was at her parents’ house in the morning having her hair and make-up done and coverage began there before I headed off to the church. She was relaxed and calm and looked forward to the day ahead. At the church Oliver arrived in a grey suit and a brightly coloured buttonhole to reflect the scheme throughout the day. His brother was his best man and they had some photoraphs taken before Esther arrived. It was good to catch up with my friend David Wadley of Sutton Coldfield who was the wedding photographer and once again took some amazing photographs, which you can see on his blog.
Esther’s arrival was followed by an emotional ceremony and the photo session outside was in lovely weather. The wedding reception was a marquee at Caerdaniel Stud in Barr Beacon and the grounds were spectacular for a wedding. Esther and Oliver’s love of horses combined with the venue being where the family breed Welsh Cobs made for a wonderful wedding reception. The decor of the marquee also reflected their love of the Carribbean and the bright colours really made for a vibrant looking venue, with a steel drum band playing in the background. The speeches followed and Oliver’s brother stole the show. A disco played throughout the night and everyone really let their hair down. Esther and Oliver flew off to the Carribbean on honeymoon and I wish them well for the future.

Helen & Mark’s Wedding Video in Worcestershire – Grafton Manor

Last month I was the wedding videographer for Helen & Mark at Grafton Manor, Bromsgrove. They actually had the civil ceremony first then got ready for the blessing in the chapel, so filming began in the library. Following the intimate civil ceremony Helen and Mark got ready into their wedding attire for the blessing in the chapel. All their guests had now arrived and the ceremony began. During the photo session, everyone enjoyed ice cream from the cart that Grafton Manor provides and the sun shone. I captured some lovely footage in the fantastic grounds at Grafton Manor before everyone entered the marquee for the wedding breakfast and reception. The speeches were both comical and touching and following those the evening entertainment began. The first dance and disco were followed by a spectacular firework display and to round off the evening’s filming I captured Mark and his stags doing a rendition of Flying Without Wings by Westlife. Well Helen and Mark soon jetted off to their honeymoon and have now receieved their DVDs. Good luck to you both.

Gemma & Richard’s Wedding Video in the West Midlands – Copthorne Merry Hill

Last month I was the wedding videographer for Gemma & Richard at St. Giles Church, Willenhall and The Copthorne, Merry Hill Centre. Gemma had her hair done at a local stylist then returned home for make-up and preparation. She was nervous about the day but was also very excited and I filmed her with her bridesmaids before I left for the church. Richard arrived in a stretch Bentley and enjoyed some time with his guests before Gemma arrived. They had chosen an American-style entrance with the bridesmaids entering first and then an emotional ceremony began. The photo session was carried out by Paul of Cosmic Photography in Telford
and Gemma and Richard had requested some intimate footage and photography at Himley Park en-route to the venue as this was where Richard had proposed. Thankfully the weather was fine so following that we headed off to the Copthorne. A brief time followed for more coverage before the meal and speeches began. I stayed on until the first dance and Gemma and Richard truly enjoyed their day from start to finish. They now have their wedding DVDs and I wish them all the very best.

Emma and Ed’s Wedding Video in the West Midlands – The Belfry

Last month I was the wedding videographer for Emma and Ed at Christ Church, Lichfield and The Belfry. Emma was ready nice and early at home and the nearby church was soon full of guests and of course the groom, Ed. Emma arrived in her lovely wedding car and the ceremony followed, before their dog arrived for a couple of photographs with them, taken by Robert Yardley of Lichfield.
We headed off to the Belfry and the weather was fine for taking some footage on the golf course and surrounding area. It was great being ferried around on the buggy and we had a great time. The meal and speeches followed before the disco began. I was able to catch up with Emma’s friend, also called Emma, whose wedding I filmed last year at Moxhull Hall. Emma and Ed enjoyed their first dance before she wowed him with a dance routine to a medley of tracks before the disco got into full swing. Emma and Ed have now received their DVDs and I wish them all the very best for the future.

Charlotte and Tom’s Wedding Video in the West Midlands – Hagley Hall

Last month I was the wedding videographer for Charlotte and Tom’s wedding at St John’s Church, Hagley and Hagley Hall. Charlotte was in good spirits in the morning and enjoyed having her hair and make-up done, and didn’t seem at all nervous. The photographer was Robin Sandry of Sandry Studio who I worked with at the wedding of Jo and Scott last year. Charlotte enjoyed a glass of champagne with her family before I left for the church to film Tom arrive. He was also very relaxed and some rain didn’t dampen his spirits. The lovely ceremony was followed by a photo session in the grounds of the church and Hagley Hall before a reception packed full of entertainment began. Firstly everyone was entertained by the wonderful Mango Acoustic who I met at the wedding of Melanie and Mark before the big surprise – 2 sets performed by Tenors Unlimited who performed live at the 2011 FA Cup Final. Everyone was blown away by their performance and some emotional and funny speeches followed. The live band for the evening were Fully Funktional who are energetic and talented. They rounded off an amazing and action-packed day and Charlotte and Tom have now received the record of their big day.

Kate & Lee’s wedding video near Wolverhampton – Somerford Hall

Last month I was the wedding videographer for Kate & Lee at All Saints Church, Sedgley and Somerford Hall near Wolverhampton. It was a bright morning and Kate and her 9 bridesmaids were all getting ready early on. After the flowers arrived I left for the nearby church in Sedgley, West Midlands. Lee arrived by wedding car and began greeting his guests. The photographer was Keith Law of Midland Photographic who I worked with at the wedding of Claire and Steve last year. The rain had started when the ceremony finished so we all quickly made our way to Somerford Hall in Brewood. The weather had improved and the sun came out so everyone remained on the terrace for the rest of the afternoon, and in fact the receiving line was held there too. Following the speeches I filmed lots of Goodwill Messages with the guests and Kate and Lee were treated to a live band, which was the Vagabond Kings. Vocalist Wayne is a friend of Lee and I filmed Wayne’s wedding in 2009 so it was good to catch up with him and Ruth. Kate and Lee had their first dance after the buffet and I filmed some of the disco before leaving. Kate and Lee have now received their DVDs and it was a pleasure filming their day.

Kim and John’s wedding video near Lichfield, Staffordshire – Swinfen Hall

Last week I was the wedding videographer for Kim and John at St. Mary’s Church, Weeford and Swinfen Hall, Staffordshire. Kim was leaving from her parents’ house in Stafford and as I travelled there in the morning the rain was lashing down. It continued throughout the morning as I filmed Kim having her make-up done and I headed off to the church which was about 40 minutes away. By the time John arrived the rain had thankfully stopped and it didn’t start again until well into the evening. John seemed calm and he had some photographs taken before he headed into the church. The photographs were taken by the fantastic David Wadley in Sutton Coldfield who I have worked with on many occasions and as Kim arrived the sun began to break through. Also a big thank you to their vicar Fiona who was very approachable and conducted a very moving ceremony. The photo session began outside before we all left for the magnificent Swinfen Hall where I had filmed the wedding of Lisa and Scott in February. The weather stayed fine so everyone was outside in the amazing grounds before we all headed inside for the wedding breakfast. John Taylor was the toastmaster and after some great speeches I filmed Goodwill Messages with the guests. There were some great messages for Kim and John and their first dance followed, before a great live band concluded events. It was a fantastic day and I will catch up with Kim and John when they return from honeymoon.
